During a recent trip to Lyon, a little celebration for my 60th
birthday,
Svetlana and I took some images of the city, the people and
the food.
It was our first time there and we hope not the last. A
gastronomic centre,
Lyon is a lovely and easy to get around city. On
December 8th for four days,
the city lights up entire
buildings in the centre to deliver a wonderful and
exciting
lumiere
spectacular.

The food is renowned for its diversity and locality so always something for
everyone. The cities famous Bouchons serve home cooked food and plenty
of it while the classical Michelin restaurants like Alain Chapel and Paul Bocuse
are simply outstanding for service, taste and presentation.
Well worth a visit and well worth a celebration.
