| Salvatore Liporace
Born In Belvedere Marittimo (CS) Italy He is a professional bonsaï artist. In 1986, he founded "Studio Botanico", the botanical school of Milano, the first space in Italy entirely dedicated to the bonsai. Thanks to his many study trips in Japan with the Master Masahiko Kimura, his school has become a point of reference for bonsaika experts throughout Europe. Many of his students have become experienced instructors in Italy and abroad. Various members of his school, take part in the regular European contests E.B.A. 'New talent contest'. He has taken part in many broadcasts on radio and on television in Italy and abroad. As an experienced professional artist, he has been invited by the most famous European clubs for demonstrations and organized workshops with them. His articles are published by the most significant European and American magazines. He is featured in three of Craig Coussins books, Bonsai for Beginners, Totally Bonsai and Bonsai School. The only Italian known at a world level, he is often present as a major demonstrator and speaker in the great congresses in Europe, America, Africa, and Asia where his personal interpretation of the bonsai makes him one of the most innovating creators. |
He is a founding member and adviser with the
title of President of the committee of instructors of the National college
of the instructors Bonsai and Suiseki in Italy (I.B.S). In 1999 he
received the prestigious American prize "B.C.I. writers and Photographers
Award" for his significant contribution to the teaching and the spreading of
the art of bonsai in the international community. He is the author of the book "Bonsai - Spirit and Substance" published in five languages He is featured in three of Craig Coussins books, Bonsai for Beginners, Totally Bonsai and Bonsai School.
