I have searched China and Japan for scrolls of excellent quality. These are for the Tokonoma or your home. They range is size from 12 inches high to scrolls that are over six feet in length. These larger scrolls are absolutely beautiful and include some antique scrolls. The more modern scrolls have been mounted by a third generation professional scroll mounting artist at a famous Art University. Each large scroll comes in a special silk covered Scroll box to protect the scroll when not on a wall..

accessories, My friend Shu Zheng Xu, (www.potsforbonsai.com) originally gave me a beautiful scroll of cranes which takes pride of place in my home and that got me started on looking for others. I also identified a need for scrolls for both Tokonoma and Bonsai display and decided to have a range of subjects painted to reflect both the seasons and feeling of the Bonsai or Suiseki on display. With the growth of interest in Shohin , many of the Zen and other small scrolls I have had made are between 18 inches ling to 48 inches long. The average being 24 inches. These are suitable for your home as well of course. I have also made large display scrolls up to 6 feet tall. Wonderful for an Executives office, stairways and larger rooms. |
