Profile of Megumi Bennett
Megumi began learning ikebana at 12 years, gaining her qualifications at 20, with the Koryu Matsu no-kai school of ikebana Tokyo. The Koryu school was founded in the 18th century
She is a recognized master and is head of the Koryu Shoyo-kai school of ikebana in Australia and is an expert on all styles from the traditional classic style which is called Sei-ka,as well as Nageire, Moribana and Modern styles.
Megumi has given many demonstrations, exhibitions and workshops and is a member of Ikebana International Sydney chapter.
As an importer we carry a range of ikebana containers, Kenzans, hasami scissors, wire and other accessories.
Ikebana has an old cultural history in Japan.

Beginners classes are available, with step by step practical with theory,
from the basics through to the more advanced lessons
including modern (moriban, nageire) styles to the classic ‘Seika’ style.
For your first class please bring the following:
A small sketch book
Basic colored pencils
Ikebana container (kaki) 6 cm high
Ikebana scissors (hasami)
Kenzan (needle pin holders)
3 fresh branches about 40cm long
5 fresh flowers about 30cm long ( same type and color of flowers)
